Designing a garden complete with a waterfall pond is not that difficult as you might initially think. Maybe you have to spend a little bit more money on the cost of building but a beautiful garden promises to put serenity into your life.

Below is a few guidelines to achieve a pond which is beautiful, clean and nice.

1. Taking care of water plants informally is actually very easy dan doesn't require detail parentage. But other big plants should be avoided because the pond is not safe when the plants grow too big or mature.

2. Potted plants are suitable to have in a big pond. Just put a few planters so that the pond beauty will not be spoilt.

3. A pond, whatever the size is, shouldn't be built under a big tree. The dead foilage will droop into the pond and get rotten in the pond, muddy up the water and can cause the fish being poisoned to death and other plants in the pond to wither.

4. A pond that is stable need to have a balance between the water plants and the quantity of fish kept inside it. A stable pond is not smelly and the water is clear. The fish's waste is a good nutrient for the plants and can be absorbed rapidly by the plants' root.

5. When putting water plants inside the pond, choose a basket with holes. The basket can prevent the soil from muddying the pond allows water flow in the soil and the emergance of roots through the holes.

6. If you plant water plants that grow rapidly, use a divider or seperator to control the growth and not to disturb other species.

7. New pond that receives direct sunlight normally will have a lot of algae and become murky. Fortunately this condition will not be forever. Algae will decrease considerably when the water plants start to grow and mature and continue to consume the nutrient from the water. Soon you will have a clear pond.

8. Indoor pond can be built as long as it can get good sunlight and efficient. Put plants that like shady area because they don't need a lot of direct sunlight.
